BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav slammed the Congress Party led Manipur Government for inaugurating the Sanjenthong Bridge before the bye-election.

He was speaking at the “home coming” ceremony of one Independent ADC member HA Vareishang, 10 Ukhrul-South Autonomous District Council held at BJP head Office on Wednesday.

Ram Madhav said that the inauguration of the bridge was “technically fine but morally wrong” as the Government has taken permission from the Election Commission of India.

But the State Government could have waited for three more days as there was not much delay on building this bridge.

The BJP General Secretary stated, “The three days delay could not be great delay, but there is some desperation because we (BJP) challenging him (State Government) on development front, here, there is nothing much to showcase, so the Government is using every opportunity available” .

He alleged that the State has been reeling under misrule for over a decade with rampant corruption.

He also pointed out that there was no development, no environment and Industry in the State.

“The only Industry in Manipur is Insurgency Industry”, Ram Madhav said.

Stating that the BJP wants to bring good governance in the State for its future, the BJP General Secretary said that in the coming General Election, BJP will be in a position to challenge the “misrule” of the Congress in the State.

“The BJP party will march towards victory in the forthcoming bye-elections and in the general election”, Ram added.

BJP Manipur In-charge Prahlad Patel also attended in the programme.
