After playing crucial part in the party’s expansion to the North and North-Eastern corners of India, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav aims to strengthen the party in the coromandel belt.
Ram Madhav has also played his hand in the Party’s increased performance in the Five State elections, where it has clinched the Assam Assembly, and successfully entered the Assemblies of Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, also for the first time in some of them. He now seems to be aiming the coromandel coast that extends from West Bengal to Tamil Nadu.
After his meeting with the Assam CM candidate Sarbananda Sonowal, Ram Madhav has spoken about their next aim to increase their Lok Sabha seats on the southern coast by 2019. He has also observed that their long time opponent Congress has been lowered to a level lesser than even the regional parties now.
Reacting to the predictions about his ministership that have been going around in some circles, he wittily remarked that he already a ‘Maha Mantri(Grand Minister), which also translates to General secretary, his current post in the party.
Talking about the burning special status to Andhra Pradesh issue, Ram Madhav, who originally hails from Andhra Pradesh, said that the centre has been and will be helping in all kinds of matters. He also said that while being in alliance with the ruling party in AP, and trying to capture the opposition place in Telangana, they will try to strengthen BJP in both Telugu States by 2019.
